You need to read this to understand why I’m blogging.
I love Jesus. I love people. I love stories.
The Bible tells us that the prophets expected the Kingdom of God and that Jesus’ miracles expressed it and His parables explained it. In Matthew 10, we read that Jesus’ called His disciples, gave them authority and sent them out to proclaim the Kingdom of God. How were they to do this? By healing the sick, raising the dead, cleansing those who had leprosy, driving out demons, freely receiving and freely giving.
In this blog, I want to share glimpses of the Kingdom of God as I come across them. I want my readers to know that Jesus is still healing, resurrecting, cleansing, delivering and setting people free, here and now, in the 21st Century. More than anything I want to encourage and inspire fresh faith in Christ.
My day job is in international development. It means I’ve seen a lot of the world – with all it’s richly diverse combination of cultures and contexts. Whichever country I’m in, I’ll most likely be found walking alongside people – training, empowering, equipping and raising them up.
Sunshine. Blue skies. Mugs of tea. Laughter. Family. Friendship. Little people. Quality conversation. Creativity. Cycle rides. Long walks. Beautiful countryside. Dappled light. Pressing the pause button. Reading. Journalling. Dreams. Encouragement. Kindness. Perfect timings. Sleep. Rest. Adventures. These are a few of my favourite things.
